Q: Why is a single treatment all that is needed?
A: Transmission deposits are much easier dissolved by
Auto-Rx when compared to engine deposits. This is because the
transmission is basically a sealed unit. The deposit formations are not
complex, as are in a motor. Motor deposits gain complexity due to
combustion gases, from blow by, and airborne contaminants ingested into
the oil, such as literal dirt and moisture.
Q: Why do the folks at Auto-RX® prefer the T-TEC procedure to change out your transmission fluid
A: Because it replaces 100% of your transmission's old dirty fluid. That's important considering traditional ATF services drain little more than 30% of the old fluid from your transmission leaving nearly three-quarters of your old, dirty fluid in the transmission to mix with the the new.
T-TEC connects through the transmission cooler lines and provides a clean "environmentally friendly" and systematic approach to servicing automatic transmissions. The unit will flush virtually all of the old transmission fluid and replace it with the new fluid while the engine is idling.
Q: Do I need to change the transmission filter?
Too often the transmission filter is confused in its performance with that of an oil filter. In most cars the filter resembles that of a "bug screen" to catch pieces of large particles or contaminants. After observing many applications of Auto-Rx® using T-Tec to remove the liquefied contaminants we don't believe it is necessary to remove the filter (if your transmission even has one).
Q: Does Auto-RX® work with manual transmissions?
A: Yes. The application ratio is one ounce of Auto-Rx® per quart of oil. Drive 1000 miles and drain out the Auto-Rx® and oil. Refill with the transmission oil of your choice. The application is over for the life of your manual transmission.
Q: What are some other applications that Auto-Rx® works with?
A: Auto-Rx® is extremely effective in cleaning and improving the performance of your gasoline or diesel engine. Please visit our main Auto-Rx website for more information.
Auto-Rx® also works effectively in your power steering unit.
There are many other applications from compressors to printing presses to all types of stationary and mobile engines, including diesel.
Q: Is Auto-Rx® for Transmissions the same as Auto-Rx® for Engines?
A: Yes, it is the same product. We use separate websites to detail the application procedures for each component.
