Application Instructions for
High Mileage Engines or Heavily Sludged Engines

Heavy sludge instructions are intended for vehicles which burn oil
and/or have symptoms of sludge building, such as poor vehicle
performance and poor gas mileage.
(updated: 2-15-2008)

B.  Sludge Application.  First change your motor oil and filter.  Add one full 12 oz bottle of Auto-Rx to your engine.

Auto-Rx works best with conventional (non-synthetic) motor oil.  If you feel you must use a synthetic motor oil we recommend using a Group III oil to avoid competing chemistries.

Drive 2,500 miles, changing your oil filter after approximately 1,250 miles.  Change your oil and filter again, do not add Auto-Rx or any other additive.  Drive an additional 3,000 miles, changing your oil filter after approximately 1,500 miles.

Engines following the sludge application require a second treatment.  Repeat the instructions outlined above.

We strongly recommend you continue to use non-synthetic oil if possible and that you follow up your treatment by going on the Auto-Rx Maintenance Plan.  This will ensure a clean motor and prevent future sludge build up.

Auto-Rx® Maintenance Plan

*Why The Maintenance Program Is Important*

Oil analysis with the maintenance dose on the Auto-Rx web site shows reduced wear metals in extended drains. But the real beauty from running the maintenance dose is retarding the formation of engine deposits in the future.
