Notes on what to expect from Auto-Rx®

Auto-Rx Fast Track Motor Application

Auto-Rx has developed an application for those the can not achieve the mileage requirements of the basic motor application, 2500 miles in the cleaning phase, 3000 miles in the rinse phase. Based on the customer types listed below we have devised a shortened up application.

  • Owners of Classic Cars  that drive only 2000 – 3000 miles per year.
  • Folks that recently failed the smog or an emissions test and need a 30 day remedy.
  • Customers that are only looking to clean up ring packs.
  • Customers that are switching over to full synthetics and feel the need to clean and rinse to take full advantage of extended drain intervals.
  • Customers desiring to change over to synthetic oil prior to cold weather setting in, soon.

Fast Track Application: Note: conventional oil or group III oil must be run in steps, cleaning and rinse.

Step 1:     Add a ratio of 3 fluid ounces of Auto-Rx per each quart of oil in the engine sump. For example a five quart system will require 15 fluid ounces of Auto-Rx. It is recommended that you start with fresh oil and a new filter. Start motor to circulate motor oil and Auto-Rx to allow for blending of the two. Circulate for at least 5 minutes.

Step 2:     Drive the vehicle as you normally would for 750 or up to 1000 miles. Cleaning phase is complete.

Step 3:     Drain the oil, change out the filter. Refill the sump with either conventional oil, or group III oil. No high mileage oils or group IV synthetics will work well for this short rinsing cycle.

Step 4:     Operate the vehicle as you normally would to accumulate at least 1000 miles before draining. If you are not making the change to a group IV synthetic, you may run the conventional or group III oil for longer than the 1000 miles listed above. You may run the conventional or group III out to a maximum of 2000 miles during this rinse phase. Application is complete, drain oil and replace filter and add any oil of your choice.

We highly recommend that you add the maintenance dose with each oil change regardless of oil choice.

Why the Maintenance Dose?

You have just finished with a cleaning and rinse applications, to clean up the motors internals with respect to harmful deposits, but you are really stopping at third base.

Early on with Auto-Rx we had suggested running a clean and rinse cycle every 25,000 miles to keep a motor deposit free. Over the last 3 years we have realized that it is more effective to run a smaller dose of Auto-Rx with each oil change.

In addition to keeping your motor’s vital internals clean, Auto-Rx has shown to reduce wear, as well as providing for a lower coefficient of friction than that of motor oil alone. With just three fluid ounces in the sump, enhanced lubrication is provided as well fuel efficiency. So why wait utilizing the Auto-Rx benefits every 25,000 miles, when you can have it working every time you turn the key.

The maintenance dose has shown excellent results through used oil analysis, with both conventional oil runs and full synthetic oil, with extended drains. Take advantage of the volume discount price offerings and order that extra bottle with your order.
