My son who serves in the Coast Guard in Louisiana decided he'd like me to haul his furniture, wife and her car behind my 91 ranger 3.0 all the way from Iowa. I just dumped in the AutoRX and started doing the obvious things like replacing the clutch, rebuilding the driveshaft. Put on an underdrive pulley and MSD ignition and opened up the exhaust some. By then I had 700 miles on the RX treatment. At this point at 151,000 miles I decided maybe a timing chain set just to be sure. Very unpleasant chore on a 3.0 ford by the way, oil seal around the harmonic balancer had always leaked like a sieve anyways. Imagine during my disassembly I discovered no more leak and the inside of the time chain housing was clean as a whistle.
Making a long story short, 1300 miles..16 foot trailer...combined weight over 8,000 lbs. No sweat no oil consumed, no heating problems, 65 to 75 mph average maybe 16.5 miles per gallon. I noted while changing the plugs after doing a compression check all cylinders were reading exactly the same.
Great product, does exactly what it claims, would imagine being a mechanic myself it would double the life of any conventional engine if you used good oil and could keep the valve stems, rings as clean as this stuff gets them, nothing is more slippery than a thin oil film on a smooth metal surface, and engine don't lose power as they age if the rings move freely to maintain good compression and combustion efficiency.
