Do you think clean ring packs produced these results?

I recently ran the cleaning cycle on my 1992 Mitsubishi Galant, SOHC 2.0L, with about 145k on the clock. She would use about a quart, sometimes 1.5 qts, of oil every 3k miles or so, not bad really, but enough to make me keep an eye on it. I would average 25-26 miles of mixed, mostly highway, driving and on a great day I'd see 28-29 on straight highway (NY to MA or NJ). I'm about 1k miles into the rinse cycle now. Oil consumption actually increased for a while, but now appears to use very little, time will tell. What did amaze me was when i filled up at the tank...I could only stuff 12 gallons in....hmmmm, made me wonder. checked the mileage and WOW, 33 MPG! no way! can't be....rechecked the calculations, 33.12 MPG!!! Next weekend, i'll be starting cycle number two, alongwith compression tests to compare to the initial ones taken before the cleaning cycle.

My fiance (and her family...and her friends...and my friends...and my

coworkers) thinks I'm nuts when it comes to oil and this newly discovered (for me) product called ARX. I decided to run a cycle on her

2001 Civic 1.7L SOHC VTECT with 115k miles. I ended up dumping in the whole bottle because my mind was on something else....oh well....about 1500 miles into the cleaning phase (i'm going to run to 2k miles since i dont' want to waste a double dose) she sends me a text message that says

"37 MPG!" second tank, same thing! My reply??? "Told you so"

Can't wait to run the cycle in my F150 5.4L!

#2-I'm nearing completion of my rinse phase and i've already noticed a pretty big MPG difference. Before running ARX I would always get between 26-28mpg, no matter how gentle I drove it. I just took a long road trip and got between 31-36mpg, even with a full load of people and luggage, and stuck in a bunch of construction/traffic. Great stuff.
